What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is very effective in the treatment of ageing, dehydrated skin and will help to improve lines and wrinkles. Mesotherapay may also be used for the treatment of cellulite and for hair loss.
Who is contraindicated to Mesotherapy?
Pregnant or lactating women
Previous skin cancer
Active infection
Malignancy in area to be treated
Sufferes of kelloid scaring
What should I expect during my Mesotherapy Treatment?
During your mesotherapy treatment a series of injections are undertaken by hand in the superfical layer of the skin (mesoderm). Depending on the area to be treated will determine how many injections are required. This will be discussed with you at your consultation.
We would usually suggest a course of treatments to get the best results.
Mesotherpay should not be painful but for clients who have sensitive skin a topical anaesthetic may be prescribed for you to make the procedure more comfortable.
The treatment normally takes about 20 minutes.
What should I expect following my Mesotherapy treatment?
Following your Mesotherpay treatment, you may experience slight swelling and warmth to the area. These usually settle within the first few days.
Benefits are usually seen after you have undertaken a couple of treatments, but maximum results will be seen at the end of your course.
What are the common side effects?
There are minimal side effects and these are usually short lived; you may suffer minimal bruising, swelling and marks from injections.
After Care Advice
Our practitioner may send you home with ice packs to reduce the swelling and bruising and SPF50 heliocare sunscreen will be applied. You will be asked to avoid wearing make-up for 12 hours after treatment. Avoid saunas/sun exposure/UVA/sunbeds for 4 weeks following treatment.
