What is the Medical Weight Loss National Programme ?
The medical weight loss programme is a programme tailored to each individuals goals by our medical team. We are here to formulate a treatmet plan and help you with weight loss , improve your lifestyle and help you achieve a healthier you.
What will happen during my first consultation ?
During your first consultation one of our clinicians will review your medical form to see if you are a suitable candiate to start the programme. You will have you weight , height , blood pressure, waist circumference and yo may be requiredf to have your bloods checked.
The team will discuss all options available to you on the programme.
What will happen following my first consultation ?
Following your first consultation and treatment plan you will be invited to another consultation to provide support and guideanc ein your first weeek.
Who is suitable for the Medical Weight Loss Programme ?
The National Medical weight loss programme is aimed at patients who have a BMI over 27 -30 .
Who is not suitable for the Medical Weight Loss Programme ?
If you are pregannt or breast feeding , BMI of 27 and under . There are medical conditions that may prevent you from ourprogrammes but our nurse will discuss this with you.
What medical benefits to my health will I see if I loose weight ?
Even a modest weight loss of 5 to 10 percent of your total body weight is likely to produce health benefits, such as improvements in blood pressure, blood cholesterol, and blood sugars.
